| REVIEW I am a huge fan of books that focus on dancer health. This particular book is dedicated to the foot, includes a wealth of practical and professional well informed advice from a foot doctor (podiatrist) who has worked with dancers. This is not a large or prolific medical text, and speaks easily to a dancers questions and needs. A small (mine is) soft cover book, it can fit easily into your dance bag and like all books of the dancer health genre should be in every ballet studio for quick reference. I always like to add the following - just because you have not been hurt yet (a rarity for any serious dancer) doesn't mean you do not need this book. At the very least you can learn what to say when a problem does come up, or find out more about what may seem only (at this time) a nuisance. |
